Stephanie Johnson Triathlon
All's well that ends well! My goal was to finish and not be last. The results are in and I finished 327 out of 368, a big improvement over my first TRI. My total time was 1:04, with an average 12mph on the bike and a 12:06 minute mile on the run.
This was a mini sprint, so the distances were shorter - a 200 meter swim, 6 mile bike ride and a 2 mile run.
I got up at 3:30am. Bob picked me up at 4:30am and we headed to the north side of town. It was still dark when we arrived. The race was set to start at 6:45am but didn't get going until around 7:15am. It was cool and I was worried that it would be cold on the bike ride after the swim, but the weather was perfect,
There were close to 400 people, so the pool area was very crowded. It was a 25 meter pool, so it took longer to get the people into the swim.
Getting into the pool
I had a little trouble getting on my bike. I couldn't get my shoes into the pedal cages.

Starting my run
By the time I reached the finish line I was feeling better. I couldn't wait to get a slice of pizza, but it was gone by the time I came in.
