This Was Zero Week

Wisdom dictates that an athlete should rest after major competitive events. I, however, decided to take it easy, but did not curtail all activity. On Monday I took a leisurely 30 minute walk; Tuesday I spun for 15 minutes and on Wednesday I did 6 laps with breaks in between. On Thursday, I did 1:00/1:00 intervals for 30 minutes and on Friday I did 14 laps in the 25 yard pool. This morning I met Bob and Sherry at Oyster Creek. They did 4.5 miles, but I left after 3.5 miles.

I was really pleased that I had absolutley no pain at any point after the TRI. I attribute this to the Sweat It Out shorts that I bought which are designed to minimize thigh and hip strain. Sweat It Out

I start my NY training this week. I'm looking forward to the race, but not the long runs in heat of the summer. I guess that's the price we pay for nice winters!
